Hanoi: A pretty building in the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, perhaps the Chinese Governor's Palace - we didn't have a guide

This is the Presidential Palace and was built between 1900 and 1906 to house the French Governor-General of Indochina. Ho Chi Minh refused to live in it for symbolic reasons, although he still received state guests there, and he eventually built his traditional Vietnamese stilt house and carp pond on the grounds.
