Pai: Love Will Find A Way

We ate dinner across the street and watched at least 11-12 groups of
Thai tourists compose this same photo, plus peace sign fingers. Jen
insisted on having her picture taken as well, not to be outdone by
other tourists and their cameras.

Jen tried to ask the woman who cleared our plates what the fuss was
about, but her gestures were misunderstood and the woman returned
willing to take our picture with the sign! We said no thanks and I
asked our waitress who spoke better english. All I got in response
was, "movie," so we don't really know the significance of the sign,
but it seemed awfully important!

Any help on this mystery would be great.
